UNAPPROVED MINUTES
Meeting called at 6:35 pm at Emanuel.
Council Members Present (10): Frank Newman, Pastor Evelyn Dahlke, Tom Fischer, Heather Fokken, Pastor Craig Pederson, Kathy Munson, Dan Scoggins, Joe Tricola, Marilyn Peterson, Adelheid Koski. Not Present (1), Marko Fields.

Naming process
Dave Raymond
Thom Sandberg, a member of Bethlehem Lutheran, who works for a design and marketing firm Kenyon. He helped Jacob’s Well identify their name. Jacob’s Well has 600 members now.
Thom is here to facilitate our naming process.
What do we want to call it? (different than the full name.)
What does it look like?
Does it reflect who you are?
• Northeast Community Lutheran Church
• United Lutheran, the Northeast Congregation
• Welcoming Grace, the Northeast Lutheran church
• Celebration, the Northeast community church
The congregation will decide the name at the April 1st meeting.
Tasks

Make one list of what needs to be done by May 6th. There are tasks and we are now all one congregation so we need to work together to complete them.
Pastor Ken handed out a revised TTF list to help us to separate the tasks.
Assets and property – TTF.
Financial – Council.
Legal and Organizational – Council
Heritage and Celebrations – each current council is working on this.
Facilities - TTF
Determine building use by tenants, partners- Council
Heritage preservation – TTF
Next Council meeting – March 29th, Emanuel 6:30pm
Ruth – fruit
Dan – cheese and crackers (crackers already at Emanuel.)
Kathy Munson – baking.
Transportation – bus

Announcements to be made at all three churches to see who needs a ride to the new location. Other discussions around car-pooling once a list of names of who may want a ride.
Tenants

Emanuel’s current council has asked Knights coat closet to leave Emanuel’s storage area. They are removing the clothes.
Groups at the current facilities:
• Gamblers Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous
• NESCRC – rent has been stayed due to financial problems.
• Oromo – 7th Day Adventist, 100 people each Saturday, $600 per month.
• Mercy Seat – Lutheran, using ‘God is awesome’ room for an Office.
• Vine and Branches – an Episcopal group, small, no income.
Need actually written agreements with all tenants, leases.
Oromo congregation plans to have a conference over Memorial day, using many of the rooms. Frank to talk with Oromo about the rooms we are now using for Pastor’s Craig’s Office and for Mercy Seat.
TTF and Council continue separate meetings.
Pastoral Call process

Group to make Job Descriptions, Job Titles, and Salary compensation decisions before we make the recommendation to the congregation. Recommend to the congregation that we call Craig Pederson, Evelyn Dahlke by the end of New Council meeting March 28th. Motion: Koski
